Established in 1923 by the Sisters of Loretto, we continue to teach the youth of the El Paso and the surrounding region, guided by our values of Faith, Community, Justice, and Respect. The intimate class sizes, challenging curriculum, service learning, faith foundation and caring staff have been a blessing over the years. Loretto teachers have helped establish a love for learning for our girls and have helped our girls grow holistically. Loretto instilled in me a strong work ethic that carried me through my college career at UTEP and will continue to serve me at UCLA Law and in my professional career. I learned the values of determination, persistence, and perseverance, as I worked to turn my potential into strong character. I built friendships that will last throughout my life. I was able to learn in a focused educational setting where I felt supported and encouraged by my mentors and peers during a pivotal moment in my life. I feel confident in my skills and abilities today based on my strong foundation at Loretto.

The Ysleta Pre-kindergarten Center is the pride of the lower valley and YISD. It was voted as the Best of the Border-El Paso Preschool in both 2021 and 2022. It is a state of the art early education learning center which opened in August 2010. The Ysleta Pre-K Center is known for its innovative child-centered early childhood programs and has been featured in the Scholastic News, Texas Monthly, Fortune 500, Hispanic Magazine, State Model for Early Childhood, HOPE foundation, and CREED.


The campus was originally initiated in September 1985. The current center is a new, state-of-the-art building that was opened in August 2010. Ysleta Pre-K Center has been featured for its innovative early childhood program in the Scholastic News, Texas Monthly, Fortune 500, Hispanic Magazine, State Model for Early Childhood, and HOPE foundation.
