I never write reviews but in this case I really want to do it. I came back from my summer vacay about 3 weeks ago. I got these ugly tan lines from my swimsuit specially on my chest and back (ughhh...no bueno). Looking around, i found Sun City Tanning. I liked it because I heard that tan beds are not safe. Sun City uses a spray which is organic. Of course I had to do my research before calling anybody. The technician was very friendly and made me feel that I was in good hands. I thought I was going to turn out orange or super dark. She went over with every single step all the way thru. I’m really happy with the results. I’ve been always afraid of the sun and this is a very fast, easy, safe way to have a healthy looking skin. Price was right and the best thing is that they provided me with all the necessary things that i used on the day of my treatment. I’ll definitely give them a call back soon.

Nose filters, protective eye/nose wear, lip balm and disposable thongs are available upon request.

Shave, shower, and exfoliate the 12 -24 hours before your tanning appointment. Showering 3 hours before your session is acceptable if you are not able to do it the evening before.

Waxing and spa services such as a pedicure, massage, or facial should be done at least 24 hours before your spray tan.

Do not use deodorant, makeup, perfume, or moisturizers the day of your tanning session.

Have dark loose fitting clothing ready to wear for after your tanning session. You may tan in the undergarment of your choice (preferably a dark color) It is up to you if you would like to tan with undergarments. Tan lines are optional.

Your Tanning Technician will advise you on the time frame when you can rinse. Waiting longer or rinsing earlier can adversely affect the color of the tan by making it too light or to dark. You will only rinse with water, no soap or other products.

You may see color wash off during your first shower, this is normal, as it is just the cosmetic bronzer washing off.

Do not scrub or use loofahs, washcloths at the time of the rinse.

Your Tanning Technician will advise you on rinse time based on your tan of choice. You are able to wear what ever you like after that rinse.

Avoid any activity that will result in sweating or getting wet.

Do not use moisturizers or creams until 8 hours after your first rinse.

Apply recommended body lotion or tan extender generously post shower. Twice daily is recommended for optimal results.

Spa Treatments are not recommended after your spray tan. (massage, facial, pedicure)

Please refrain from the following products as they are known to fade and ruin a sunless tan:

Loofahs, washcloths, baby oil, mineral oil, massage oils, bug sprays, anti aging products that exfoliate, Dove products (creates skin barriers and your tan will not take) alcohol based toners, astringents (cleansing agents). Any products containing AHA’s or BHA’s or RETIN, accutane and salicylic acids can cause issues. Avoid long swims in pools and oceans as the chlorine and salt water can cause fading (bromine can cause fading).

A spray tan does not protect your from the sun, so make sure you use a sunscreen.

Remember, that the spray tan is on the outer layer of the skin, anything that exfoliates will remove the tan.

The FDA has advised that all users of DHA spray tanning services avoid inhaling or ingesting DHA. When using all-over sunless tanning sprays containing DHA it may be difficult to avoid exposure to sensitive areas including eyes, lips, mucous membranes or internally.
